School life 2017 is a South Korean television series actors are Kim Jung hyun, Kim Se jeong, Jang Dong yoon, Han Sun hwa, and Han Joo wan.
This was quite enjoyable and easy to follow, I mostly liked Tae Woon and Dae Hwi, and the acting of their actors as well.

With rich kids, mostly we get arrogant jerks and bad boys that are loved by everyone for some reason, however here I do not think this was the case, at least for the ML part. Tae Woon was not a bully, he might seem cold, but was not harassing people or anything, he was just rather an introvert, and a sensitive guy inside. Although he was described selfish many times, I could not agree really with it. If other people involved themselves in his stuff, he should not be responsible for them, but he still tried to be taking care of others.
Watching him made me wish I had a classmate like him as well.
I also liked Kyung Woo, the guitar guy, who just seemed to know a lot of stuff about his classmates since he was watching people a lot.
As for Ra Eun Ho, I think her character was portrayed greater than she really was. Sometimes she was really brave alone, but then later even if she received support from Tae Woon and others, she just wanted to give up. I am actually not sure how she was even able to proceed to a higher class each year, she was never studying. I get it that you do not have to like studying and want to draw, however she just was not listening in classes at all, like c'mon, can't you at least show some effort? Not everyone has to be the first ranked student, but she had almost the worst results. :D She was also very illogical at times (the argument with Tae Woon was just probably a necessary fight for the script as it did not make sense). As for Se Jeong's acting, in the beginning I found it quite unnatural, later it got better, but still her intonation sounded robotic at times, so the acting quality was switching between fine and not so fine. Her smile was supposed to be cute, but for me it was kind of cringy and unnatural again. For me, she was quite a cute character, unless she smiled :D
I also believe she did not give Tae Woon the credit he deserved, and often underappreciated him, saying that stuff were easy for him, like he had no feelings, like having a rich dad would mean nothing is bothering him, even after she got to know him better.
As for the school theme, I just could not agree with the "you should understand and befriend your bully" kind of thinking. I believe bullies should be punished, feel sorry to the victim and then people can try to talk to them and understand their actions and whatever. It was like the victims had to do the effort, while bullies were treated as normal kids, because they are not criminals, wtf. I liked the teacher Shim for supporting his students, however if the kids are just bad, you cannot justify their actions forever and protect them, just let them be punished, they have to learn one way or another what is right and what wrong. I just could not agree with a lot of stuff that was said there.
Even the drama premise saying "school that discriminates against rich and poor, and believes that the best students are the ones with the best grades." I mean there have to be some criteria, like who is the best student otherwise? The one whose grades just suck, but they like to come to school to chat with friends? There does not have to be this cut-throat competition for best grades, but they were just disgusted because the school wants them to learn stuff.
